Required Materials

1. Completed Application Form;

2. A photocopy of passport;

3. A passport size color photograph;

4. Copies of all relevant transcripts;

5. Official copy of University Entrance Exam report (e.g. SAT or ACT);

6. A copy of High School Diploma, if applicable;

7. Official transcript evaluation by a NACES approved evaluation service, e.g. WES (www.wes.org). The official copy of the evaluation should be request for the Admissions Office of Kean University, for transfer students if required;

8. Personal Statement (1-2 pages),in English, express-ing your educational and professional career goals.

 

English Language Proficiency Requirements for non-native English Applicants

 

TOEFL (iBT) (DI code: C050): 79 or above (TOEFL Mybest Scores and TOEFL iBT® Home Edition are accepted).

IELTS: 6

Duolingo: 100

 

Please be aware that the TOEFL/IELTS /Duolingo requirement is exempted only for native English speakers or individuals who have successfully completed a college-level English Composition course in the U.S. with a grade of “C” or better, or possess an equivalent qualification acceptable to WKU.

 

Requirement for design programs

(Architecture, Graphic Design, Interior Design,and Industrial Design)

 

· Submission Method: Please submit your personal portfolio and professional application information to the designated email: mgc@wku.edu.cn. In the email subject, please specify: WKU + Applied Major + Your Full Name.

· Portfolio Requirements: Including Forms (Fill out 1 form) and Media (10-12 multimedia files). The portfolio should showcase the best works that demonstrate creative thinking, design skills, and artistic abilities. Submitted works must be the original creations of the students, and plagiarism or copying is strictly prohibited.

Tuition & Fees

Tuition: Provisionally set RMB 85,000 (USD 12,000) /Year (subject to the latest approval prices from government authorities).

 

Accommodation Fee: RMB7,000 (USD 1,100)–RMB 14,500 Yuan (USD2,200) per Academic Year, 1 Academic Year=10 Months.

 

Insurance: RMB 800 Yuan (USD 110)/ Year

 

Freshmen Students Scholarship

Full Freshmen Scholarship: Tuition reduction of the first academic year.

Half Freshmen Scholarship: 50% Tuition reduction of the first academic year.

Deadline: Nov.15 for spring semester; Jun.30 for fall semester.

 

Qualification Requirement:

Full Freshmen Scholarship: GPA 3.5/4 (or equivalent) or standardized English language tests (TOEFL 98/IELTS 7/Duolingo 130 or above);

Half Freshmen Scholarship: GPA 3/4 (or equivalent) or standardized English language tests (TOEFL 87/IELTS 6.5/Duolingo 120 or above);

Applicants choosing to apply for scholarships based on their high school average GPA must provide an assessment report of their high school transcript, which must be issued by an organization affiliated with the National Association of Credential
