WKU Students Won the Second Prize of CUDC Contest
Congrats to WKU team (Sun Yuling and Dong Caiwei, Wu Jiang as the instructor) for winning the Second Prize of China Universities Debating Championship (CUDC) contest!
From Nov.11 to 12, the 2023 China Universities Debating Championship (National Final) was held online. This contest brought together 129 teams from universities across the country for the finals.
After two days of intense competition, Sun Yuling and Dong Caiwei (both are members of WKU English Competition Team) impressed with their strong English skills and analytical abilities, securing a commendable 41st place in the rankings (a new record).
🙌About the Contest
China Universities Debating Championship is supervised by the Master of Translation and Interpreting Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and organized by the CATTI project management center of China International Publishing Group.
Launched in 2021, this competition is a national English debate competition, aiming to encourage discussions about international topics and diverse cultures, developing college students into global leaders for the new era.
Since 2021, ECT members have been participating in this competition. Their efforts have been rewarded with significant success, including a national third prize for Wu Bingxian and Zhang Chong, and a national second prize for Fu Xiaotong and Jin Pinru (ranking 55).
