WKU Student won a Silver Award in “FLTRP ETIC Cup” “Understanding Contemporary China” Provincial Level Translation Contest
Results of the first “FLTRP ETIC Cup” “Understanding Contemporary China” National Foreign Language Contest for College Students were released recently. Translation Contest (Zhejiang Provincial level) was held online on October 28th, five WKU contestants (Zhang Zilin, Ye Chuya, Wang Kaixin, Wu Yichen, and Lin Zili) advancing their way to the provincial contest. Lin Zili (English Major) won the Silver Award, ranking 16 among all 244 participants from 51 universities and colleges.
Participants in this online competition needed to finish 2 paragraphs of C-E translation and translate Chinese culture related terms. Questions in this contest mainly focused on the most popular topics – scientist spirit and digital literature.
