Global Lecture Series
Global Lecture Series (GLS) Program
GLS at WKU brings notable individuals to campus each year, expanding our students’ access to the 21st century newsmakers. Visiting scholars come to WKU to share their perspectives and academic findings. Some scholars are known with the high reputation, such as the former Assistant Minister of Commerce of the United States– Professor Huang Jiannan, and Secretary – General of the International Monetary Fund Mr. Lin Jianhai. Remarkable lectures include the lecture on the hot topic The Belt and Road by Dr. Patrick Mendis from John F. Kennedy School of Government, and the lecture Identity in Written Discourse and Teaching Writing in Context by Prof. Paul Kei Matsuda from Arizona State University.
