Located in Wenzhou-Kean University, Wenzhou-Kean University Network Culture Communication Center aims at promoting Chinese culture communication by combining online and offline.
The Hair Embroidery Research Institute and the Wenzhou University Folk Culture Museum that were visited this time occupy important positions in Wenzhouneze culture. Hair embroidery is one of the unique traditional crafts of the Han nationality in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. These unique crafts use hair as the base material and combine it with painting and embroidery. One Exchange student Lin Hao said: “It’s my first time to realize hair embroidery. Before this visit, I never thought anyone could embroider with the hair. To be honest, this visit really enlarges my horizon.”
During the visit, foreign professors and international exchange students enthusiastically participated in embroidery experience projects. After experiencing it, they described their enjoyment. Subsequently, they arrived at the Wenzhou Folk Culture Museum. Viewing and learning about Wenzhou’s traditional customs, inventions, and crafts, foreign professors and international exchange students expressed their good wishes of wanting to experience these Wenzhounese culture aspects again should they have the opportunity.
