Congratulations! WKU Student Wins Excellence Award in the 37th Han Suyin International Translation Contest

The results of the 37th Han Suyin International Translation Contest were announced recently. Wu Yichen (International Finance Major), a member of WKU English Competition Team, won the Excellence Award in Chinese-to-English category.
The Han Suyin International Translation Contest is one of the most renowned and influential official translation competitions in China. Established in 1989, the contest is named after Han Suyin, a distinguished British-Chinese writer and translator. The competition was founded not only to commemorate her remarkable contributions to international communication and cultural exchanges, but also to encourage young translators to better understand China and tell China's story to the world through translation.
The contest is held annually, and features two-way translation between Chinese and ten foreign languages.
Congratulations to Wu Yichen! We look forward to seeing more WKU students participate in future translation contests and continue to excel!
