WKUers Win Prizes in the 9th “LSCAT Cup” Zhejiang Provincial Translation Competition
The results of the 9th “LSCAT Cup” Zhejiang Provincial Translation Competition have been announced. A total of 11 WKU students won prizes. The list of winners is as follows:
Congratulations to all the awardees! It is the third year that WKU students have participated in this competition, and this year saw increases in both the number of participants and the number of awards. We hope that all students continue to enhance their bilingual abilities and we look forward to seeing more students join this competition in the future.
About the Competition:
Guided by the Translators Association of China, the “LSCAT Cup” Zhejiang Provincial Translation Competition is jointly organized by the LSCAT Center, the Translators Association of Zhejiang, and Branch of College Foreign Languages of Zhejiang Province Association for Higher Education. With the aim to train highly-qualified personnel for language services, and promote the development of foreign language teaching in higher education, the competition covers four languages, which are English, Japanese, French, and German, and is open to all students in universities and colleges of Zhejiang Province. Up to now, the competition has been held nine times consecutively. With a lot of students participating in this competition every year, the “LSCAT Cup” Zhejiang Provincial Translation Competition is one of the most prominent translation contests in Zhejiang Province.
