Carbon Future, Moving towards "New" | The ESG Student Innovation Competition WKU Campus Competition Successfully Ends!

The ESG Student Innovation Competition, co-hosted by EY and Golden Education, aims to encourage innovative ideas that address environmental, social, and governance challenges faced by our society. In April, the competition engaged students from Wenzhou-Kean University, attracting over 100 participants formed more than 20 teams. In the preliminary stage, WKU students created short videos addressing emerging ESG topics related to artificial intelligence, the low-altitude economy, and biotechnology, while exploring the challenges and innovative solutions in implementing ESG principles in various industries.

At the on-campus finals on May 19th, a panel of judges provided insightful reviews of the contestants' live presentations. The panel included Mr. Zhen Yandong from EY’s Audit Department, Ms. Liu Kehan from Golden Education, and Dr. Xue Chunxiao from the Accounting Department at Wenzhou-Kean University. Additionally, Dr. Chen Rongjuan and Dr. Rob Kim Marjerison from the CBPM shared engaging discussions on various topics related to ESG.

Three teams, namely "Deep Blue," "KFCV50," and "Chase for EY," were awarded the winner, first and second runner up, respectively. They will move on to the next round competition – 2024 Annual ESG Student Innovation Competition for the East China region this summer.
