A wonderful feast of science and technology was launched at Wenzhou-Kean University
On May 8, the 2023 "Entrepreneurship China · Haiyan Assembles " Project of Science and Innovation for Global Overseas Educated Generations Capital Matchmaking Meeting was launched at Wenzhou-Kean University. On the first life and health industry roadshow, seven projects took turns to compete, which presented a wonderful scientific and technological feast for investors and entrepreneurs.
Professor Yan Qingying, from Biology major, participated in the roadshow with his project "Plastic Worm Project". Mr. Yang Yixin, Vice President for Academic Affairs, was invited to provide expert comments during this event.
This activity was held in a combination of online and offline. During the event, seven projects include (1) biological laboratory equipment project, (2) myopia laser surgery equipment research and development project, (3) Ye Tongrentang ginseng and antler biological culture project, (4) plastic worm project, (5) newly single-lens 3D endoscopy project, (6) glaucoma prevention and treatment digital project, and (7) genome anti-aging drug research and development project have presented on the roadshow. Each team leader presented the project’s key technologies, product advantages, market analysis, financing needs, and so on.
Judges from Wenzhou Wedo Capital, Hangzhou Zhaoheng Investment, Sinolink Securities (Hongkong), and Shanghai Real Power Capital expressed affirmation for each project and provided constructive suggestions for the specific problems spotted during the roadshow.
Ye Tongrentang ginseng and antler biological culture project focuses on using biotechnology to cultivate valuable traditional Chinese medicine with the same efficacy and high production. The project leader Wang Yibin said that the investors' suggestions let them have new thoughts about their project, which is extremely helpful for them to continue improving their business model. Prof. Yan Qingying, project leader of the Plastic Worm Project, is from Singapore. He said that this matchmaking meeting will provide more cooperation resources for the implementation of this circular economy green project on campus.
This special activity is sponsored by Wenzhou Kean University, Wenzhou Overseas Students and Family Association, Ouhai District Committee Organization Department, Ouhai District Committee United Front Department (Overseas Chinese Affairs Office), Ouhai District Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and so on. The person in charge of the Wenzhou Overseas Students and Family Association said that to better promote matchmaking between entrepreneurial projects and capital, attract and guide high-quality projects industrialized in Wenzhou, this matchmaking meeting has specially invited investors in science and technology innovation foundations that have set up and about to set up in Wenzhou, and people in charge of Wenzhou science and technology incubator operation teams as judges.
It is reported that the 2023 "Entrepreneurship China · Haiyan Assembles " Project of Science and Innovation for Global Overseas Educated Generations Capital Matchmaking Meeting will provide an entrepreneurial financing platform for global overseas educated generations who have returned to China and those who will graduate and go back to China to promote the all-round communication between enterprises and talents, entrepreneurship and capital. The activity will focus on the "5+5+N" industry, and open up a series of special roadshow activities concerning the life and health industry, digital economy, new materials, intelligent equipment, etc. It will accumulate and select new projects for the "Entrepreneurship China " Competition held by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and will attract good projects for the construction of Wenzhou's large incubation clusters as well.
