Wenzhou-Kean University Holds the 2023 Board of Directors Meeting

On November 2, Wenzhou-Kean University held the 2023 Board of Directors Meeting on campus, marking the first offline meeting in four years. The meeting was presided by Mr. Wang Beijiao, Chair of WKU Board of Directors and Secretary of CPC WKU Committee.

Chaired by Mr. Wang Beijiao, the meeting unanimously approved several key resolutions, including committee appointments, meeting schedule for academic year 23/24 and a resolution confirming the extension of former Chancellor Wang Li’s term and honoring his contribution. Chairman Wang also highlighted the achievements of WKU for the past academic year in his remarks. The former Chancellor Wang Li expressed gratitude to the board for its recognition of his work and pledged to continue supporting WKU’s development.

President Lamont O. Repollet discussed the recent achievements of Kean University and outlined plans for future cooperation in response to the advices proposed by members of the board in the committee meetings. Given the strong cooperation between two universities, WKU is expected to develop in the right direction, providing students with excellent educational experience, and better serving the local community.

The meeting also heard the report of finance and facility joint committee from Mr. Ye Xiaodong and report of academic affairs and student affairs joint committee from Mr. John Kean Jr. and Mr. Alexander Mirabella. The board voted and their resolutions were approved unanimously.
