Students Win 1st Prize of the 25th “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” National English Debating Competition (East China Regional)
The quarter-finals of the 25th “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” National English Debating Competition for the East China Regionals have recently concluded. Competing against 113 teams from universities in Eastern China, the WKU team emerged as the first prize winner, thereby advancing to the national finals.
The competition was conducted online from April 8th to 9th. Following five intense round-robins, WKU team (FU Xiaotong, JIN Pinru, Coach: WU Jiang) finally achieved a commendable result (Team Standing: ranked 19th).
Since FU and JIN joined the WKU English Competition Teams in 2020, both of them have acquired systematic training from the ELC, and achieved good results. In December 2022, they won the Second Prize in the China Universities Debating Championship.
