Wenzhou’s first school for children of foreigners is coming!
In order to further promote Wenzhou’s opening-up to the outside world, enhance the international cooperation and exchanges, improve Wenzhou’s business environment, and optimize the working ecology for talents, the Wenzhou Municipal People’s Government has decided to establish the Wenzhou Union School for Children of Foreign Personnel. The school is founded in cooperation with the Education Development Foundation of Wenzhou-Kean University and Likeda Holdings Co., Ltd. The school address is in the Peking University New Century School – Wenzhou Branch. It is scheduled to start the first semester in this Sept., enrolling students from Grade 1 to Grade 8. The children of foreigners legally residing in Wenzhou and its peripheral areas, children of residents of Hong Kong, Macau Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Region, and children of Chinese nationals legally residing abroad are admittable.

It is understood that the Wenzhou Union School for Children of Foreign Personnel is based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the California State Standards of the United States, referring to the provincial curriculum of all subjects in Canadian primary and secondary schools, and setting up a curriculum framework that fully complies with international standards. Meanwhile, the school will offer courses of Chinese language and Chinese history and culture,  carrying out a series of educational activities that will help students understand Chinese history and culture.
