Vice President Xu Shuli Invited to Attend the 7th Anniversary of Studying Abroad Magazine

On March 3, 2021, Vice President of Wenzhou-Kean University Xu Shuli was invited to attend the 7th Anniversary of Guangming Daily Studying Abroad Magazine and delivered a keynote speech.

Under the theme of “Never Forget Why We Start and Reunite Again”, six keynote speeches and roundtable forums were conducted concerning background enhancement, exit service, language examination, application for study abroad, international schools, and cultural tourism during the event. Professionals from all sectors gathered together to discuss the present and future of global education under the influence of the pandemic, which has received widespread attention.

Before the anniversary started, Vice President Xu Shuli was personally interviewed by Zhejiang Daily. During the interview, he emphasized the unique teaching advantages Wenzhou-Kean University has as a Sino-American University. English teaching environment, class-size reduction, free choice of majors, flexible overseas exchange programs, and English intensive programs all contribute to Wenzhou-Kean University’s distinguished international education.

At the event, Xu delivered a speech on “Student-centered and Accurate Service for Communication”. Since its establishment, Wenzhou-Kean University has promoted liberal education with diversity and international characteristics, and actively impelled international scientific research with a student-centered approach. Till now, Wenzhou-Kean University has had four colleges, five master’s degree majors, and one doctor’s degree major. As of July 2020, a total of 1,600 graduates have set sail from Wenzhou-Kean University to the world, with about 46% going to the world’s top 50 universities.

Later, Wenzhou-Kean University was awarded the 2020 Bright Escort Award to honor it as a best testimony of international education as an educational partner.
