University Leadership meets with Ministry of Education officials
On April 17, Executive Vice President for Operations of Kean University, Mr. Philip Connelly, had a meeting with Ms. Chen Yinghui, Deputy Director General of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of Ministry of Education of PRC.
Meeting at the Ministry of Education in Beijing, Mr. Connelly introduced the officials to the origin and history of Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU) in China, as well as to the plans for future development. He also gave an invitation to officials of the Ministry to visit Kean University in New Jersey.
Ms. Chen Yinghui extended her appreciation for KeanUniversity’s sincere cooperation with China. She fully recognized the achievement the two parties have made since the preparation and official establishment of Wenzhou-Kean University and expressed her confidence in the future development of WKU. Ms. Chen said the Ministry of Education would always support WKU in various aspects, including policy, hoping this school will be a successful model of Sino-foreign cooperation by pursuing a characteristic road of development.
Mr. Chen Dali, Director of Division of America and Oceanic Affairs of Ministry of Education of PRC, Mr. Wangyi, Deputy Director of Division of Cross-border Education Partnership of International Cooperation and Exchanges Department of Ministry of Education of PRC and Mr. Qian Qiang, Vice Chair of the WKU University Council also accompanied this meeting.
