Congratulations! WKUers achieve outstanding results in the 11th Zhejiang Provincial Translation Competition

The results of the 11th Zhejiang Provincial Translation Competition were recently announced. WKU students delivered an outstanding performance this year, receiving 28 awards in total, with one student (Zhu Niannian) being honored with the “Translation Star” title. Both participation and awards reached record highs for WKU.

Congratulations to all the award winners, and thanks to every WKU student who participated in this competition. The participants demonstrated great enthusiasm for English learning, well-developed cross-cultural awareness, and strong bilingual competence. We hope all the students will continue to challenge themselves and achieve even greater success in future studies and competitions. 

About the Competition

The Zhejiang Provincial Translation Competition, now in its eleventh year, is guided by the Translators Association of China and jointly organized by the LSCAT Center, the Translators Association of Zhejiang, and the Branch of College Foreign Languages of Zhejiang Province Association for Higher Education.

Aimed at cultivating high-caliber professionals for the language service industry and advancing foreign language teaching in higher education, this competition is held annually across universities and colleges in Zhejiang province, with four language categories included: English, Japanese, French, and German. It has become one of the most prestigious and influential translation contests in the region, attracting wide students participation each year.
