A promotional video highlighting the city of Wenzhou made its official debut on China Central Television (CCTV) on December 13, 2025, presenting the city’s unique charm and development achievements to a nationwide audience. The 15-second video features Wenzhou’s iconic natural landmarks—such as Yandang Mountain and the Nanxi River—as well as Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU), a representative model of China–U.S. cooperative higher education.

Selected for year-long broadcast through November 2026, the video will air 95 times across four major CCTV programs during prime time. Scheduled slots include before CCTV News on CCTV-1 and CCTV-13, during Morning News, after Oriental Horizon on CCTV-13, and on China News on CCTV-4. The broadcasts are expected to reach an audience of more than 100 million viewers, significantly enhancing Wenzhou’s national visibility while elevating WKU’s academic profile.

Wenzhou-Kean University is a province–state friendship project jointly established by Zhejiang Province and the State of New Jersey in the United States. Committed to becoming a high-level institution and a leading example of Sino-foreign cooperation in education, WKU focuses on cultivating globally minded graduates with a strong sense of national identity, contributing to China’s higher education reform and regional economic, social, and cultural development.
The promotional video highlights WKU’s modern campus and signature facilities, underscoring the university’s vibrant academic environment. As the video continues its nationwide broadcast on CCTV, it not only showcases Wenzhou’s rich cultural heritage and ecological beauty, but also demonstrates the successful practice of China–U.S. educational cooperation embodied by Wenzhou-Kean University.
