2022 Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Forum

The United Nations Youth Group Forum for Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction 2022, hosted by the WKU Student Committee on Sustainability (SCS), actively contributes to understanding and advancing sustainability in relation to Air and Climate. By focusing on global warming and its associated challenges, such as high-temperature weather and geological disasters, the forum directly addresses critical issues related to climate change and disaster risk reduction. The two competitions launched as part of the forum stimulate young students' understanding and encourage them to think critically about how to improve ecology in the context of global climate change. By encouraging students to propose solutions to address climate change and extreme weather, the forum empowers them to become active participants in developing innovative strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change and build resilience to extreme weather events. All WKU students are welcome to sign up for teams.
