WKU X SF Express: Charting a Shared Future!


On September 12, Wenzhou-Kean University and SF Tyson Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd. signed a framework cooperation agreement at College of Business and Public Management. This university-industry partnership opens a new chapter of collaboration in cultivating international, practice-oriented, and innovative talent.

Vice Chancellor Lin Zhaozhao reviewed the university’s development and achievements in talent cultivation. As a flagship initiative of the Zhejiang–New Jersey sister-state partnership, WKU has produced more than 5,000 graduates with global vision and a strong sense of social responsibility. She emphasized that the new partnership is a “two-way journey” linking international higher education and industry—a meeting point of academic insight and business practice—and a significant milestone in WKU’s collaboration with industry.

Mr. Qiang Feng, Regional Deputy General Manager at SF Express, stated that WKU highly aligns with SF in terms of educational philosophy, talent cultivation, and research innovation. He pointed to broad prospects for cooperation in fields such as smart supply chains, digital transformation, and sustainable development. Looking ahead, he said, SF will draw on WKU’s academic strengths and talent resources, together with its own industry expertise and regional network, to deepen the integration of industry, academia, and research, and to inject fresh momentum into regional economic and social growth.

Prof. Hing Kai Chan, Dean of the College of Business and Public Management, introduced the framework of the partnership. He emphasized that as an AACSB-accredited institution, the Business College consistently upholds the high standards of international business education, with students achieving outstanding results in scientific research and practical competitions. The college has previously co-organized successful events with renowned companies such as Cathay Pacific and Coca-Cola, and this new partnership with SF would create more practical and innovative outcomes together.

Sun Guohua from the Marketing Department of SF Express Southern Zhejiang Region, introduced the core business landscape and development achievements of SF Group. He also showcased a series of innovative initiatives, including the " International Management Trainee Program" and "SF–WKU International Express Service Center" which is set to be launched at WKU.

Prof. Ho Han-Chiang from the Marketing Department at WKU introduced the first initiative under the agreement: 2025 SF International Marketing Campaign-Poster & Short Video Competition. This business competition provides students with a platform to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. Student representatives Kaitlyn Marie Gross and Liu Yutong also expressed their excitement for the opportunities ahead.

The agreement outlines collaboration in four key areas: industry-academia-research integration, joint talent cultivation, executive training, and educational innovation. Together, WKU and SF will establish internship bases, conduct international logistics research, promote the SF Campus Ambassador Program, and co-host industry innovation competitions, achieving mutual growth and shared success.
