2017 Wenzhou-Kean University Techweek
Wenzhou Techweek was officially launched in the Century Plaza on May 20, 2017. Wenzhou Kean University faculty, staff, and students participated in the Techweek on the subject of Science and Technology Power, Dream-true Innovation, with the research and creative works. Local colleges and universities, research institutes presented their works and provide their services through display, information dissemination, consultancy service, technical services, medical clinic, exchange, etc.

Our theme of Techweek was “Enjoy Research, Obtain from Research”. WKU Computer Science students Guan Aonan and Yu Haowei showed the municipal officials and citizens the work from WKU Weetap team who won the first prize in China final of the prestigious annual Microsoft Imagine Cup 2017. Weetap consisted of a WKU student, Chen Piao and two students from Northwestern University and Cornell University, supersized by Dr. Pinata Winoto developed a highly customizable spatial memory training application for the old citizens, through cloud-based behavioral modeling, it can enable personalized spaced repetition memory learning. They also presented Applications and software for children with autism spectrum disorders. Moreover, we also showed some works from WKU graphic design students. Citizens spoke highly of all the works which demonstrated WKU students’ innovative and creative abilities.
