After careful preparation, organized by Wenzhou Medical University and co-organized by Wenzhou Kean University Health Center, the second “First aid into Campus” was held on November 14, 2015 (Saturday). This event invited professional trainers from the Red Cross Society to provide informative lectures to our students, and carefully prepared each student a good souvenir – a first aid kit.

From 9:00 to 11:30, at B101, the instructor Xiaoyu Dong introduced Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Bandage Theory, and Binding and Foreign-Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO).The lecturer’s humorous explanation made the boring knowledge interesting and easier to understand, which also won the enthusiastic applause. In the afternoon, from 13:30 to 17:00, trainees participated in the knowledge contest, group training, assessment and a graduation ceremony. Under the patient guidance of the trainers and the assistants, the students mastered the foundations of first-aid and finally passed the exam. All the trainees received the certificates. In addition, excellent students received a certificate of excellence, which draw to a successful end for this event.

Nowadays, medical assistance is no longer just practiced in the emergency rooms of hospitals. It is becoming more and more important for young people to learn about first-aid. This first-aid training program provided practical knowledge to our students so as to enhance their ability to help themselves and others in emergent conditions.
